What is Dignity? After about four years on this topic, I am still searching for answers. My journey has taken me to classrooms, and living rooms, and schools, overseas, peace conferences, and home again. I’ve begun to realize how important it is to protect, preserve, and promote dignity, in our homes, schools, society, and with each other.
Why is it important? You tell me. It seems a sense of our own presence, our awareness that we have worth, and that we all get to be here. That resonates with me, like the song, “there’s a place for us”. A place for all of us.
